Van Leer Professor of Industrial Marketing at INSEAD and PhD in Business Administration from Columbia University. Graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Economics and Mathematical Statistics. His teaching, research and consulting focus is on industrial marketing, the automotive market and marketing in the financial sector. Professor Weinstein has published numerous case studies in his areas of interest. He is co-author of INDUSTRAT: The Strategic Industrial Marketing Simulation. His research has been published in the Journal of Business, Journal of Marketing, Management Science, Multivariate Behavioral Statistics and other professional journals. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Marketing and associate member of several advisory committees of the Marketing Science Institute. Professor Weinstein has taught numerous senior executive development programs in Europe, North and South America and Asia. He has been actively consulting on various strategic marketing issues in Industrial Marketing, Financial Services and the Automobile industry and is Faculty Principal of Gemini Consulting. Professor Weinstein joined INSEAD in 1972 and served several times as coordinator of its marketing area. He served as program director for INSEAD's European Marketing Program for eight years, acted as program director on numerous other seminars and is currently directing the Advanced Industrial Marketing Program. He was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Business School in 1977-1978, and Visiting Professor at Stanford Business School in 1982-1984. In 1993, David Weinstein held the Sweetbaum Chair of Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Wharton School. He continues as Visiting Professor there, teaching on several executive development programs at the Aresty Institute.
